Type: Imperial Stout
Pitch black, extremely full-bodied, lots of burnt malt with a vicious and challenging bitterness.
Even when it is poured into the glass, it is immediately felt that Hr. Frederiksen is a gentleman with both potency and great personality. Pitch black as Hr. Frederiksen's humor is this "Imperial Stout" after American model with a dense and creamy, light brown foam, which leaves piquant lace in the glass as it grudgingly settles. We readily admit it – we have gone crazy with the malts in this beer, a whole 8 different ones we have used, and it is the blacks and burnt that give the beer both its color and the almost extreme fullness – this is almost a fudged meal in bottle. Also bitterness delivers the burnt malts seconded by American Centennial hops. Oh yes, Hr. Frederiksen is an experience to welcome to dance, he should be enjoyed slowly, but then he can also spend a whole evening where you can warm himself by his alcohol and challenging charm.
We have named this beer after a good friend without whose amazing support and assistance Amager Bryghus was not where it is today.
